To launch the unit, students joined a flight simulation to Manaus, in Brazil, soaring high above the Amazonian Rainforest- what a view!

Replicating the characters’ misfortune in the opening chapter, their plane then lost control and crash-landed into the dark depths of this incredible biome.

Leaving the plane, in a hurry, students then solved clues around the school leading them to items associated with adventures from the story.

What a great way to start! Year 6 cannot wait to continue the story and join Fred, Lila, Max and Con on their adventure - four young children lost in the Amazon Rainforest, how will they survive?
