BST parents and staff produced a BST Recipe Book so that every family could try cooking some international dishes with their children and develop their taste buds. Bon Appetit!

Our Year 6 students celebrated their graduation with their family and friends at Kalandar campus. The Principal, Dr Andre Nel and Ms Gemma Lowrey (Acting Head of Primary), opened the ceremony and were joined by the lovely Ms Juliana Posado-Castro, Chair of the PTFA. Students, parents and staff were then inspired and moved by British cyclist Mr Luke Grenfell-Shaw's story (cancer survivor) as he dropped by on his way from Bristol to Beijing. Lessons on transition, resilience and hope for a bright future chimed with their own transition to secondary school. Class 6A and 6B entertained the audience with wonderful songs and the event ended with a closing speech from Ms Rachel Edwards (Head of Primary) and baby Thomas. We are confident our wonderful Year 6’s will seamlessly adapt to life as Year 7’s under the careful eye of our Head of Key Stage 3, Mr Jean-Pierre Le Grange.

BST students celebrated a year of sport with the annual sports day taking place on the week of 17th May.

BST’s Science Fair took place during Earth Week on 23 April. Around 150 of our students from KS2 and KS3 took part. All the projects related to the theme: “Save Planet Earth”.

Save the Date – Just Chilla its Summer! – Mark the date for the most fabulous event of the year. The BST Summer Fair is on Saturday 29th May from 10 – 2pm at Kalandar Campus. Get your flip flop and shades ready for some serious fun with the BST family and lots of games, competitions and prizes all around health and happiness theme.

BST Lion Cubs returned to full competition at the Junior Football Club football tournament. Despite a long absence from sport and training, BST lion Cubs in three age categories competed well, showed amazing team spirit and total sportsmanship. A third place win on penalties, a fourth place loss on penalties and a second place group finish rounded off an amazing day. Thank you to all those that came to support the teams and their coaches!

As the only registered centre for the provision of The Duke of Edinburgh International Award in Uzbekistan, we'd like to commemorate HRH Prince Philip's lifelong legacy of service and dedication, by reflecting on how our students have developed independence, resilience and perseverance through the Award challenge which pushes for their personal limits and achievements.

We are proud and excited for 11 BST students who recently undertook a valuable week-long internship at the National Children's Medical Centre.

Another victory! BST students participated and won in a Model United Nations Conference at TEAM University on the 10-11th of April.

Under the skillful teaching of the Tashkent International Clinic (TIC) medical staff, BST teachers and assistants went through a day of first aid, CPR and AED training.

The Mathematics Department entered 40 students in a worldwide Mathematics competition.

The British School of Tashkent hosted its first ever charity Chess Championship on Saturday 13 March, and despite some unexpected guests, raised significantly more money than planned.
