At the heart of our school are our students. They represent 120 different nationalities, speak many languages, often several of them, and follow different educational pathways. Every day, they learn from their teachers, from all the adults who care for them on campus, and from one another. They benefit from this diversity of perspectives and regularly have their assumptions challenged. I believe this is one of the great strengths of an education at Collège du Léman.
Our responsibility is to help each of these young people find their own path and grow into the person they have the potential to become. That means knowing them well, ensuring they feel valued, challenging them appropriately and giving them increasing responsibility for their learning and their choices. Academic achievement matters greatly, but so do curiosity, character, confidence and the ability to think critically and independently.
This philosophy is reflected in the remarkable breadth of opportunities available at our school. Students can learn bilingually or pursue programmes in French or English. They can choose among internationally recognised qualifications as their interests and ambitions evolve. Beyond the classroom, they can explore the arts, sport, service, technology and the wider world, including through opportunities with UNICEF, The Juilliard School and MIT made possible by our membership in the Nord Anglia Education family of schools.
Our RISE values—Respect, Internationalism, School Spirit and Excellence—give this diverse community a shared foundation. We want every student to feel that they belong here, while learning that belonging to a community also brings responsibility: to listen, to contribute, to care for others and to make the most of their opportunities.
All of this takes place on our beautiful green campus on the shores of Lake Geneva, framed by the Alps and the Jura Mountains. The setting itself offers students opportunities to learn, play, grow and broaden their horizon.
I look forward to welcoming you and, above all, to seeing what your child will bring to our community and what they will discover here.
