Collette Hall-Gray

EY-F class teacher

Collette graduated from Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in Art and Design.

With 15 years of teaching experience on the international circuit, Collette has worked in Qatar, Mongolia, and Singapore. For the past seven years, she has focused on Early Years education, leading initiatives such as introducing woodwork and embedding a child-led curriculum with a strong emphasis on skills development. She is also a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader.

Collette is a strong believer in child-initiated inquiry, learning through play, and creating rich environments that nurture skill development and wellbeing. Her teaching philosophy centres on empowering children to explore, question, and grow through meaningful experiences.

Beyond the classroom, Collette has taught art and drawing CCAs, sharing her creativity with students across age groups. She enjoys sewing her own clothes, upcycling, and is deeply passionate about sustainability.

As a mother of two boys, Collette spends much of her free time with her family, often outdoors in nature parks. Her love of the natural world and commitment to sustainable living are reflected both in her personal life and her professional practice.
