Lynsey graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University with a BA (Hons) with Qualified Teacher Status, specialising in Early Childhood Education, Science and the Arts. She has over 18 years of experience in Early Years education across the UK, The Netherlands and Thailand, and is passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing and inquiry-led learning environments where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn.
Before joining Dover Court, Lynsey worked at Shrewsbury International School Bangkok as an Early Years teacher, implementing the EYFS curriculum through a creative, Reggio-inspired approach. She has extensive leadership experience from The International School of The Hague, where she served as an EY and Year 1 leader, supporting curriculum development, mentoring teachers and helping to build strong collaborative learning communities. Throughout her career, she has been committed to child-led learning, pedagogical documentation and fostering children’s wellbeing and agency.
Lynsey is particularly passionate about outdoor learning and conducts weekly forest school sessions to encourage curiosity, resilience and a connection with nature. She also has a strong interest in inclusion and translanguaging and enjoys coaching novice teachers and contributing to professional learning communities.
Alongside her teaching roles, Lynsey served as Chair of the ECIS Early Childhood Special Interest Group for several years, leading international professional development opportunities and workshops focused on inquiry, relational pedagogy and early childhood practice. She has presented at conferences and networks across Asia and Europe and enjoys collaborating with educators to continually reflect on and improve practice.
Outside of school, Lynsey enjoys travelling, baking, camping, reading and spending time with her family. Having lived and worked internationally for many years, she values cultural diversity and enjoys building strong relationships within the school community.
