During this time, she has developed a strong passion for inquiry-based and play-based learning, creating nurturing classroom environments where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. Nancy has also taken on leadership roles within grade-level teams and contributed to curriculum development, literacy initiatives, and professional learning in her schools. She is delighted to join Dover Court as a Reception teacher.
Nancy prides herself on creating engaging, inclusive learning experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and independence. She believes children learn best through meaningful play, exploration, and strong relationships. Nancy enjoys designing hands-on provocations and inquiry opportunities that inspire children to ask questions, collaborate with others, and develop confidence as learners. She is particularly passionate about supporting communication and language development and has experience using inclusive strategies, including American Sign Language, to support all learners.
Nancy enjoys being part of the wider school community and has coached football and benchball teams at her previous schools. She loves travelling and has enjoyed living and teaching in several different countries, learning about new cultures and communities along the way. Outside of school, Nancy enjoys reading, exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and discovering new foods and recipes from around the world. She is excited to become part of the Dover Court community and looks forward to building strong relationships with students and families.
