San Roberto International School Drives Learning Through Technology

San Roberto International School Drives Learning Through Technology - San Roberto International School Drives Learning Through Technology

Today, talking about education means talking about learning, innovation, and new ways of preparing students for a constantly changing world. At San Roberto International School, technology is not viewed as an end in itself, but as a strategic tool to enrich the educational experience, strengthen skills, and enhance learning.
Under the leadership of Hortensia Prieto, General Director; Jessica Schultz, Academic Director; Arturo Dares, Director of Technology; and Gabriela Reséndez, Technology Innovation Manager, the school promotes a vision in which technology is integrated with purpose, responsibility, and pedagogical value.

A Space to Create

San Roberto International School’s Maker Spaces are designed to help students from preschool through middle school turn their ideas into real projects. Through the strategic use of equipment such as robots, 3D printers, and laser printers, students develop key future-ready skills including innovation, creativity, collaboration, teamwork, and communication.

More than simply learning how to use technology, students learn how to think, design, solve problems, and build solutions collaboratively. These spaces bring together different fields of knowledge, including science, engineering, design, and history, under international standards and in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Beyond technical skills, the school encourages students to use these tools to make a positive impact in their local communities. One example is the development of campaigns and technology-based projects aimed at addressing needs in public schools, allowing students to see themselves as agents of change from an early age.
Technology becomes a means of developing changemakers from the earliest years.

Technology with Responsibility

At San Roberto International School’s Valle Alto and San Agustín campuses, technology is also experienced as a tool for building awareness, personal responsibility, and social commitment. From elementary school onward, students use technology to research, understand, and propose solutions to real-world challenges within their communities, developing a more critical, empathetic, and engaged perspective.

Through various projects, students have designed and implemented campaigns in public schools, sharing knowledge and promoting positive actions within their communities.
In addition, through the Digital Nations program, students, teachers, and parents receive training on the responsible, safe, and appropriate use of technology. The program promotes a healthy balance in screen time while fostering a conscious and positive digital culture.

The Future as a Present Reality

The school’s commitment goes beyond simply integrating technology into the classroom. Its goal is to develop students who can use technology with discernment, creativity, and responsibility. In an increasingly digital world, preparing students means cultivating the academic, human, and social skills that enable them to innovate, collaborate, and make thoughtful decisions.
In this way, technology becomes a tool for learning more effectively, creating with purpose, and generating a positive impact on the world around them. Because the future is not something to wait for—it is something to build today by developing leaders who are prepared to transform the world through knowledge, empathy, and responsibility.Provide your feedback on BizChat
