Champittet renews Eco-Schools Green Flag Award

We are delighted to share that Collège Champittet has once again earned the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award, recognising our ongoing commitment to sustainability and environmental education.
Renewed every two years, the Eco-Schools Green Flag Award requires schools to complete a series of steps, including a sustainable development audit, the creation of an action plan, and the integration of sustainability throughout the curriculum. Schools are evaluated by an independent jury of experts in education and sustainable development.
Responsible citizenship in action
Collège Champittet has participated in the Eco-Schools programme since 2023. Our 2026 Green Flag Award recognises the success of our Citizenship project, which brought together students, teachers and staff in a shared commitment to inclusion, solidarity and positive action.
Our entire community has taken part in initiatives ranging from humanitarian projects in Madagascar and Tanzania to the Lausanne 20KM charity run, mental health initiatives and many other collaborative activities. The jury also recognised the outstanding engagement of our students through initiatives such as our Eco-Code, House System and Play Buddies programme.
Growing our impact for lasting change
This year's Eco-Schools jury praised the strong integration of sustainable development across the curriculum, as well as the progress our school has made since receiving its previous Green Flag Award.
We believe that sustainability education is essential to preparing the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why we integrate these themes across a wide range of subjects, including geography, animal and plant biodiversity, and cultural diversity.
Our renewed Green Flag Award reflects the dedication of our entire school community, especially our Eco-Committee, which brings together teachers, students, staff and parents. At Champittet, we remain committed to continuous improvement, empowering our students to take meaningful action and inspiring our wider community to build a more sustainable future.
